As of midnight Tuesday, Republican Roy Moore, a former state Supreme Court chief justice, was refusing to concede, instead seeking a recount.
But virtually no one outside Moore’s direct circle of advisers believes that effort will be successful. Even President Trump has tweeted his congratulations to Jones.
