Illinois attorney general candidate Erika Harold says DuPage GOP official used N-word, asked if she was a ‘lesbo’

A DuPage County Republican official on Thursday vowed to stay in an Illinois House race despite calls for him to drop out over “inappropriate” comments that attorney general candidate Erika Harold said he made to her about race and sexual orientation in mid-October.

Harold, an African-American who made anti-bullying part of her platform in becoming Miss America in 2003, said Winfield Township GOP Chairman Burt Minor asked her if she was a “lesbo” and repeatedly used the N-word when he met with her after she launched her statewide candidacy.AMIBC® - VOTE!
