Nine jailed on traffic obstruction charges after protesting Dallas shooting
Nine people were reportedly arrested earlier this week on charges of obstructing traffic after they took part in a protest against a pair of shootings involving police officers in the Dallas area.
The Dallas Morning News reported that the group of people were arrested on Sunday during a demonstration outside the Dallas Cowboys’ football stadium and booked into Arlington City Jail.
On Sunday, about 75 people marched outside AT&T Stadium during the Cowboys’ home opener against the New York Giants. The demonstrators reportedly carried two coffins — one representing 26-year-old Botham Jean and the other representing 24-year old Oshae Terry, two people shot and killed by police officers in separate instances.
